Here's Why Glossier's Haloscope Will Absolutely Have You at Hello
I'm starting to the believe the good girls and (maybe) guys over at Glossier just get me. In one of Byrdie.com's recent articles, in which my commentary is included, I mention how my approach to makeup is simply "less is more." As much as I would love to be a "more is more" kind of girl, for right now, I've been kind of sticking to my go-to staple beautifying techniques. However, with mega-hits like Balm Dotcom and Boy Brow dropping and selling almost as fast as Beyonce's Formation Tour tickets, my instant obsession with their new Haloscope seemed to be a natural thing.
Haloscope is Glossier's newest addition to their Phase 2 makeup family, and in my opinion, these highlighting sticks are pretty damn genius and fit right in. First off, the texture melts right into your skin like butter in a warm cozy pan. How sway, you ask? Well, the formula includes a moisturizing vitamin-rich core that helps the crystal extracts on the the outer halo melt right into your skin for a dewy finish that's quite precious. I must say, at first swipe, there was somewhat of a fatal attraction for how seamlessly the highlights blinged on my chocolate skin. It wasn't overly glittery and neither of the shades, Quartz or Topaz, washed out my foudation or went on too ashy.
Looks like fellow lady boss, Emily Weiss, has done it again and all these new additions from Glossier really know how to get the "low-profile, but high payoff" kind of people like me going. Totally here for it!
