The Perfect Plated Experience
As a working freelance writer and blogger, as you can imagine, many days can yes, be rewarding but also yes, quite busy. I am in love with cooking just as much as I am infatuated with enjoying a delicious meal. But, as many of us end up unfortunately experiencing, it's a tad bit daunting when trying to figure out new meals to make every week or in some cases everyday while also keeping a healthy balanced diet. While searching for fresh ways to meal prep, I came across Plated. Similar to getting your most-loved magazine or beauty box subscriptions in the mail, this fairly new platform for getting your weekly food options in formation delivers mouthwatering ingredients straight to your door, allowing you to cook up uniquely crafted chef-designed meals every week.
Just like anything else I try for the first time, I was a little skeptical and wondered, "is this worth a shot? Will the food really be good? Will I even have time to put everything together?" When initially signing up on Plated's site, you easily pick how many times you would like to cook a week, which recipes you would like to enjoy, plug-in your billing and shipping information, and next thing you know, a sturdy brown box with the "Plated" logo in a bright orange square branded across the front is waiting at your door. Due to my mild skepticism, I started out with ordering two dinner meals, creamy porcina pasta with asparagus and mushrooms as well as the chicken bowls with rice, tortillas and crema all for $48. Once my box came, I first noticed how neatly organized everything was stored away, and everything was also be super fresh! After unboxing all items, I quickly put it all in the fridge until about 6 p.m. Once I finished my running around and working for the day, I proceeded to get busy with those chicken bowls (pictured above). The recipe included in the box was very easy to follow and I really didn't need anything additional other than olive oil, water, salt, pepper and a few pots and pans − all of which I already had in my kitchen anyway. Between the step-by-step breakdown and the helpful visuals, me and my boyfriend had the pleasure of enjoying a damn good dinner that only took roughly 35 minutes to prepare. Moral of the story? I'm a happy customer and highly recommend trying Plated. It's a great investment that saves you time and keeps your appetite fulfilled.
