BEAUTY MAIL: New Garnier Whole Blends
Lately I have really been aiming to add more natural beauty buys into my mix. There are tons of naturally derived products that work just as well as their "non-eco-friendly" counterparts, if not better in some cases (pssst...have you checked out my latest Natural Beauty Buys post on Glamour.com yet?) Anyways, I recently had the pleasure of unboxing a beautiful basket of Garnier's new Whole Blends Hair Care line. This is a completely new category for Garnier, and the highly favored drugstore brand is spoiling us with six new systems which include Repairing Honey Treasures, Soothing Coconut Oil & Coconut Butter, Hydrating Coconut Water & Vanilla Milk, Color Care Argan Oil & Cranberry, Nourishing Avocado Oil & Shea Butter Hair Care System, and Refreshing Green Apple & Green Tea. I don't often wash my own hair as I usually leave it to the mane masters at salons, but I was really intrigued and decided to just go for it this time! Let me tell you something kids, I'm glad I did...
Out of all the systems, the Repairing Honey Treasures system seemed to be most appropriate as I have been experiencing a little breakage, and just really needed to feed my strands a little something that would help to strengthen, nourish and protect my hair from any further damage. I began with the Repairing Shampoo which has a smooth creamy texture that easily lathers when massaged on your scalp. Because I have a finer hair type, I only rubbed in small quarter-sized amounts at a time to keep it from feeling too heavy. A little goes a long way! Then, I followed with the conditioner which instantly began to help soften and detangle my natural tight coils. After combing the conditioner through from root to tip, I did a quick rinse and hopped out the shower feeling refreshed and ready for a blowout. I noticed very little excess shedding left behind in my shower, my hair felt soft and had a subtle shine to it.
Thanks to the good folks over at The GLAM App, I was able to book a stylist to come by my home and finish the job by blowing my hair out and styling it back to perfection! After seeing the final product, I must say, I was very pleased with the effect Whole Blends had on my hair. It felt light and fluffy, left my scalp feeling nourished and it smelled yummy AF! I'll definitely be adding this to my running list of natural wonders that really work.
Here I am, post-blowout trying to stunt on Snapchat. Apparently, I was pretty hype. Can't you tell?! Shoutout to one of Glam App's talented stylist, Soroya . She created this tousled bob moment for me in as little as an hour!
