Travel Diary: Some of My Favorite Photos from Paris & London
A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to visit Paris and London—two destinations I had been dying to explore for quite some time now. Years back when my 21st birthday was coming up, I thought to myself, yes, I’m having a fun little party at one of NYC’s cutest lounges, but I really would love to be somewhere chic like Paris or London right now. The thought was born, but it had been a minute too late in the game for me to act on it at all during that time. I said to myself, “maybe I can get there once I celebrate my 25th year of birth. Well, that 25th birthday came and went, and let’s just say, I still hadn’t got my chance to travel to these wonderful places across the water that I had heard so many great things about.
Now let’s fast forward to Hampton University’s homecoming last year. I met up with two of my closest girls, Anjelica and Dana, and while we were enjoying being in such great company of one another, the beautiful idea of getting together to plan a European tour was born [insert dancing lady with red dress emoji and praise hands]. After planning it out for a few short months, we came to the conclusion that Paris and London were going to be our top picks. From there, we booked and earlier this month, what do you know, we made it there!
When we first left the Paris train station, we were greeted to a few fabulous French accents, cobblestone, the smell of warm crepes and the living heartbeat of Parisian style and flair. We immediately hopped on a tour bus and got a chance to really take in some of Paris’ beautiful architecture, fashion and pride. After snapping a few pictures in front of the Louvre pyramid and sipping wine while watching the Eiffel Tower light up, before we could fall too hard pressed in love, we were off on to London by way of the Eurostar train.
Ohhhh London, if I really wrote about every single element that gave me that happy fuzzy feeling inside, you would probably feel like you were reading the first chapter of a novel rather than a blog post. The biggest highlights? Delicious fish and chips, royally designed buildings everywhere, easy commuting, ahead of the curve fashion, crazy good shopping outlets and streets….oh, and pretty nice people too. How often do you find that? Ha! Until my next visit, I have these fun candid pictures to share which might give you a taste of some of the amazing-ness that I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to experience. Enjoy!
