April 2015 Editor's Note: A Sense of Spring
In some places, temperatures may seem to blossom all year long, and in others, spring has not quite sprung yet if you know what I mean. No matter where you are, one thing is for certain, and that is that you can have the little joys of spring right in a bottle. Every year, lots of fragrance houses come out with new seasonal scents while there are also others that stick with some of their signature smell goods that we all love. Whether you are looking to try something new or simply trying to have a fresh seasonal peace of mind, an exhilarating spritz can easily take you where you want to be. Here are a few notes on four of my new top shelf picks.
ELIE SAAB Le Parfum, Resort Collection 2015 Speaking of warmer weather, aviator shades, beach waved hair, sun-kissed skin, and sand? Well close your eyes, and take one whiff of this baby! It will mentally take you on a vacation with a harmonizing mix of mandarin fig, frangipani flower, and luminous amber. Just think "sophisticated surf-bort," and that pretty much sums up this ravishing refresher.
Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey City Blossom Luxe but limited, I am glad I got my hands on a bottle before they are all gone. Amazingly energizing for an elegant urban socialite, but just as appropriate to pick up as a gift for Mother's Day, I think I am kind of hooked on all the flower power that incorporates hints of pink peppercorn, magnolia, and white musk.
Salvatore Ferragamo Emozione This head-turner has got me stopped on the street, complimented, and feeling fancy every time I wear it. It is such a well designed piece, and adds a touch of gorgeous glam to your vanity. It really is everything and more with soft touches of peach, peony, and patchouli.
Marc Jacobs Daisy Sorbet Edition You know that warm, fun, fuzzy feeling that Pharell's Happy song gives some of us? Yes, that is pretty much the same emotion that bursts through this beautifully orchestrated eau de toilette. As sweet as can be, this limited edition must-have blends top notes of passion fruit, middle notes of jasmine petals, and base notes of violet wood. So yummy!
