January 2015 Editor's Note: Dream, Dedicate, Digest
Estee Lauder, founder of one of today's largest cosmetic companies once said, "I never dreamed about success. I worked for it." I concur. Everyone can be a dreamer. But, who's willing to put in the work? As we approach a new year, it is a beautiful thing to have high hopes and set tons of huge new goals for yourself. A fearful state of mind usually fails simply upon approaching new ideas without a solid plan and chewing on more than your belly can handle. Try setting up bite-sized wins for yourself. Instead of going way beyond what you can realistically deal with, have a preliminary appetizer and challenge yourself to commit to one thing at a time. Once you have enough self-discipline to achieve your first accomplishment it further motivates, expedites, and prepares you for your next move rather than discouraging you from continuing based off a big fail you set up for yourself. A new year resolution should not be something that is seasonal. You should be having "small move, big impact," moments that will digest into major wins all year long. Nobody ever really remembers what you do once in a while. It is about what you are constantly committing to that people begin to associate your name with. Stay hungry and see how delicious your ending result will be. You may just surprise yourself, and be granted admission to enjoy experiences well beyond your wildest dreams. Now that right there my friends, is just the well-deserved savory gravy on top. Bon Appetit!
Never stop dreaming until your dreams come true.
Happy New Year,
